    This class is designed to open up areas that are typically tight due to modern-day living – the yoga wheel expands the chest and shoulders, stretches the hip flexors and rejuvenates the spine. Practising with the yoga wheel creates a unique overall opening experience. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included.

    Mat Pilates is a challenging yet safe method to strengthen the body’s “powerhouse,” a Pilates term that refers to your abdominals, lower back muscles, pelvic floor, hips and glutes. This class incorporates all the key principles of Pilates such as postural alignment, breathing, core stability, controlled movement and flexibility. While low-impact, Pilates burns fat during and after class, as your muscles continue to shed calories long after class ends. All levels welcomed- beginners will be given optional modifications.

    POP Pilates® is an intense mat-based total body workout choreographed to pop music. It challenges students to rhythmically flow from one exercise to the next, developing a solid core while leaving no muscle untouched. While POP Pilates® moves all originate from classical Pilates, the class design, relationship with music, sequencing and reps, differ from reformer classes and traditional mat classes. The emphasis on moving to the beat makes each class feel like a “dance on the mat.” Students get to train their strength, balance, flexibility, agility, coordination and cardio fitness in this 60-minute workout.
